The variation is fantastic but there's not so much that it overwhelms the gameplay. It's easy fun. Nice little game!
Thanks man, appreciate the feedback!
I really liked it! The turn-based combat and different types of weapons were really nice (though i died countless times because of the mini-missile, oops). At first I thought the dungeon design was a bit weird but after finishing it I realized they were all randomly generated. That definitely makes multiple playthroughs more interesting. I think that some background music would've been nice, though.
The only weird thing I found was that the game said "press X" to ascend but I had to press Z instead.
Edit: For a rating, I'll give the game a 4 out of 5 stars. The graphics are polished enough, the game mechanics are entertaining and varied. However, the lack of music made the game feel empty at times, and the level generation might need some work, as my first seed gave me a lot of floors where half of the map was empty or full of dead ends and the other half had all the useful stuff, making some exploration unnecessary. Other than that, it was a fun experience.
And, that's all ;)
Glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback! Yeah all the dungeons are generated. I guess it can be weird depending on what the game needs to put into each floor (eg. which obstacles).
Very Cool Game! It would be awesome if you added more things to find, and added more environments/enemies/unique data cubes, but this is a very solid foundation.
Hey, thanks ! I assume you played it all the way through :) it took a lot longer than I thought (seven months instead of one), so I don't have any plans to add a ton of new content.
I'm curious, did you find all the data cubes? They're numbered, so it's easy to see if you missed one.
